Welcome to Liberty Lane

Our business was founded in 2019 as a luxury hamper retailer, offering a collection of inspired gifts aimed at mums and newborn babies. Our founder, Mairi McCartney, fell in love with working from home, while being a full time parent herself. As demand soared, Mairi quickly found her passion lay in candle-making, honing her skills and bringing beautifully hand poured luxury soy wax candles with luxury fragrances to market in 2020, made in the heart of Edinburgh. Thanks to all who have supported Mairi on this incredible journey so far. Minnie Mee Hampers is still here today, and Liberty Lane Candles has a lot to be thankful for to her big sister company! Mairi is now a professional Chandler having undertaken training with the renowned Frosa Katsis in Australia.

  • Do you have something that smells like...?

    The most likely answer is yes. We have access to many fragrances that can be acquired for orders even when not in stock. Dupes are popular right now, and we can get you a candle or reed diffuser made smelling  just like your favourite perfume. However, our core business is to source a wide variety of unique fragrances that are not always obvious, but are certain to please.

  • Are your products paraben free?

    Parabens are preservatives and our candle wax does not contain them. 

  • Are your products vegan?

    Yes. Soy wax is derived from soy beans, which is clearly vegan. Soy wax is both natural and biodegradable and also burns more cleanly than paraffin wax with less of a soot build up. 

THE GEO

Beautiful. Weighty. Elegantly crafted and drop dead gorgeous. We have to admit this is one of our favourite glassware types that we stock. 

This type of glassware is cut with a geometric pattern that screams sophistication, reflecting light like no other glass could, all while imperiously adding that touch of refinement and elegance.
